This year the National Green Ideas competition in Kosovo was organized by our partner VentureUp, dedicated to promoting sustainable initiatives. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from across the country. After a rigorous selection process, three finalists have been selected, each with innovative ideas aimed at contributing to a greener and more sustainable future.
Panacea - Their plan involves the cultivation of aloe vera plants, not only promoting sustainable agriculture but also empowering women through skill development and economic independence.
Vesh Desh - Is an online platform for selling and buying used clothes. This innovative idea not only promotes recycling and upcycling of clothing items but also addresses the growing concern about fast fashion's environmental impact.
Ventius- uses a method of producing mushrooms from coffee waste. By recycling coffee grounds to cultivate mushrooms, Ventius not only tackles the issue of coffee waste disposal but also offers a sustainable source of nutritious food.
We are proud to announce that these outstanding participants will be representing Kosovo in the upcoming BGI Regional Competition in Montenegro, in October 2023. This is a fantastic opportunity to exchange knowledge with other innovators in the region and contribute to a more sustainable and eco-friendly world. Stay tuned for more updates on their journey towards a greener future!
